周树堂,男,博士,教授,博士生导师
中国科学院引进国外杰出人才,授予“国家有突出贡献中青年专家”,获“国务院政府特殊津贴”。
2002年毕业于加拿大皇后大学,获生物化学与分子生物学博士学位。曾经担任美国杜克大学助理教授,中国科学院动物研究所研究员,博士生导师,研究组长。目前担任河南大学棉花生物学国家重点实验室和教育部植物逆境生物学重点实验室副主任,学术委员会委员。兼任中国昆虫学会理事,发育与遗传专业委员会副主任,基因组专业委员会委员,昆虫学报编委,国家自然科学基金委员会专家评审组成员等。
主要从事昆虫分子生物学和植物保护学研究,主持承担国家自然科学基金重点项目、面上项目、973课题、河南省高校创新团队项目等,研究成果发表在PNAS、PLoS Genetics等国际知名刊物,论文被“Faculty of 1000”推荐,出版著作1部,授权专利3项。曾获美国围产期学会“青年科学家奖”,农业部“全国棉铃虫防治先进个人”。
主要研究方向
实验室综合运用基因组学、分子生物学、细胞生物学、遗传学等手段,重点研究昆虫生殖发育的内分泌调控机制,昆虫与植物、微生物互作以及害虫与天敌昆虫互作的分子机制。
1.昆虫生殖发育的内分泌调控机制
昆虫具有强大的生殖能力,本研究方向将重点解析保幼激素、胰岛素和蜕皮激素协同调控昆虫生殖与发育的分子机理,揭示昆虫响应环境变化的生殖适应机制。
2.昆虫与植物和微生物互作机理
研究干旱等逆境胁迫下植物对昆虫的防御和昆虫的适应机制,解析病原微生物入侵与昆虫的先天免疫机制,研究媒介昆虫对植物病毒传播的作用机理,分析害虫对病毒感染作物的响应机制。
3.害虫与天敌昆虫的互作机制
研究寄生蜂重要寄生因子对寄主昆虫发育、生殖与行为的调控作用,揭示寄生蜂免疫逃避的关键因子和寄主对寄生蜂的免疫调控机制,挖掘生物防治资源。
