He received his master of Science degree from Peking University in 1990 and his doctor of Science degree from China Agricultural University in 1997. In 1994-1995 and 1999-2003, I did visiting study and postdoctoral research at Lancaster University in the United Kingdom and Arizona University in the United States. Winner of National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, chief scientist of national key basic research and development plan (973 Plan), vice president of Chinese society of plant physiology and molecular biology, Central Plains scholar of Henan Province, national outstanding professional and technical personnel. Won the second prize of National Natural Science and the outstanding contribution award of science and technology of Henan Province. Now, he is the deputy director of the State Key Laboratory of cotton biology and the director of the Key Laboratory of plant stress biology jointly established by the Ministry and the province.
